The following steps build an application in ActionScript3.0 that:

• Captures and encodes video.

• Displays the video as it’s captured.

• Streams video from the client to Adobe Media Server.

• Streams video from Adobe Media Server back to the client.

• Displays the video streamed from the server.

Note:

To test this code, create a rootinstall/applications/publishlivefolder on the server. Open the rootinstall/documentation/samples/publishlive/PublishLive.swffile to connect to the application.

1. In a new .as file, create a NetConnection object. To connectto the server, pass the URI of the application to the NetConnection.connect() method.

2. Define a function to handle NetStatusEvent events.If the client makes a successful connect to the server, the codecalls functions that run the application.

3. Publish the video being captured by the cameraand the audio being captured by the microphone. First, get referencesto the camera and microphone data. Create a NetStream object onthe NetConnection you made to the server. Then call NetStream.attachCamera() toattach the captured video to the NetStream object. Call NetStream.attachAudio() toattach the live audio. Finally, call NetStream.publish('streamName', 'live')tosend the audio and video to the server.

4. Display the video the client is streaming to the server. Createa Video object. The Video object is a display object. Call Video.attachCamera(cam) to attachthe camera video feed to the video object. Call addChild(vid) toadd the Video object to the display list so that it appears in FlashPlayer.

5.Display the video the server is streaming to the client. A clientthat creates a stream to send to a server is publishing,while a client playing a stream is subscribing. The clientin this example publishes a stream and subscribes to a stream. Theclient must create two streams, an outgoing (publishing) streamand an incoming (subscribing) stream. In this example, the outgoingstream is ns and the incoming stream is nsPlayer.You can use the same NetConnection object for both streams.

To play the audio and video as it returns from the server, call NetStream.play() andpass it the name of the stream you published. To display the incomingvideo, call Video.attachNetStream():

Adobe has released a maintenance and security update for Flash Player, which upgrades it to version 32.0.0.192 and fixes the following bugs according to these Release Notes.

• Internet Explorer unexpectedly quits (FP-4199000) when opening some Web sites.
• Win10 – Increase load time from < 1 to > 30 seconds for AX control in .NET application (FP-4198953)

This update fixes a Use After Free vulnerability (CVE-2019-7837) that has been identified as critical. Adobe’s Security Bulletin APSB19-26 lists the following Flash versions as vulnerable:
